The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 requires employers and/or owners of commercial premises to carry out a fire risk assessment and keep it up to date. We can carry out a fire risk assessment as part of an overall risk assessment or as a stand alone service.
The fire risk assessment will evaluate whether adequate and appropriate fire safety measures are in place to minimise the risk of injury or loss of life in the event of a fire. It will identify what could cause a fire to start, ie sources of ignition (heat or sparks) and substances that burn, and the people who may be at risk. By identifying the risks, we will be able to recommend how best to eliminate or reduce risks from fire, ensuring your business is adequately protected against fire.
As well as carrying out an initial fire risk assessment we can also review any existing fire risk assessments and advise you on other relevant fire safety legislation. Health and Safety Communciations can also write a fire safety policy for your company and provide your employees with fire safety training.
Our fire risk assessment service can be conducted as a stand alone service or as part of a more comprehensive health and safety management programme. Why not call us for a free initial review of your health and safety?
